Mounting press families

Every Multitek mounting press configured through Mouldz starts from the laboratory requirement rather than a fictitious universal model: actuation, cylinders, mould tooling, heating, cooling, controls and workstation options are specified to your laboratory. These families describe the starting architectures. Machines are designed and manufactured by Multitek Technologies.

Reference Configurations from Multitek

Multitek mounting presses are configured around mould diameter, pressure-control method, throughput, heating, cooling and laboratory utilities. These examples show real configuration families already offered by Multitek. Final specifications are confirmed against the customer RFQ.

Multitek single-chamber metallographic mounting press

Single-station reference configuration

Routine laboratory work where measured demand fits one complete mounting cycle at a time.

  • Single mounting chamber in a compact bench format
  • Published 25, 30 and 40 mm mould options on Multitek's current single-chamber reference
  • Automatic heating and water cooling on the published reference
Multitek double-chamber metallographic mounting press

Dual-station reference configuration

Laboratories where mounting becomes a measured throughput bottleneck and cycle phases can overlap.

  • Two mounting chambers for overlapping specimen preparation
  • Touchscreen operation and temperature/pressure control on Multitek's published reference
  • Hydraulic actuation and water cooling on the published reference
Multitek multi-station metallographic mounting press

Custom multi-station reference configuration

High-throughput, special-tooling or integrated-workstation requirements that do not fit a standard single or dual layout.

  • Multitek publicly offers triple-chamber mounting press configurations
  • Advanced HMI control and independently configured heating zones are listed on the published reference
  • Custom mould options and water-cooled hydraulic architecture are available by configuration

Compare mounting press architectures

Station count governs workflow and capacity; actuation governs how force is produced. Neither hydraulic actuation nor more stations automatically improves mount quality.

Why specify with Multitek

Real manufacturer

Multitek designs and builds metallography and materials-testing equipment in India.

Existing press families

Single-, double- and triple-chamber mounting presses are already publicly offered.

Machine + controls

Mechanical, electrical and control choices are brought into one configuration review.

Custom engineering

Non-standard tooling, workstation and station-count requirements can be captured without inventing a catalogue SKU.
